Fort Wayne Civic Theatre presents the new Mel Brooks musical YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, with music & lyrics by Mel Brooks, book by Mel Brooks & Thomas Meehan, and original direction & choreography by Susan Stroman at Arts United Center in Downtown Fort Wayne, beginning today.
Frederick Frankenstein (he pronounces it Fronk-en-steen) has inherited his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked side-kick Igor (Eye-gor) and Inga, a leggy lab assistant, Frederick brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Hilarity rules with the unexpected arrival of his fiancée and the escape of his creature. The electrifying musical adaptation of Mel Brooks' monstrously funny film will leave you in stitches. Featuring tunes including "The Transylvania Mania", "He Vas My Boyfriend", "Roll In The Hay", "Man About Town", "Deep Love", and "Puttin' On The Ritz".
