Elkhart Civic Theatre will close Spider's Web by Agatha Christieon January 24, 2010.

Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham Brown, is adept at spinning tales of adventure for their bored diplomatic circle. When a murder takes place in her drawing room she finds live drama much harder to cope with. Worse still, the victim is the man who broke up Henry's first marriage. Moreover Henry will be arriving shortly with a V.I.P. who might take a dim view of bodies in the drawing room. Clarissa's fast talking places her and Pippa in some hair raising experiences. By the time Henry arrives, the murderer has been unmasked and all is normal so normal that Henry is unable to believe Clarissa when she explains why there are no refreshments for their honored guest.

Tickets range in price from $11-$13 and can be purchased by calling (574) 848-4116 or visiting www.artseverywhere.com. Sunday matinees at 3pm.

For more than 50 years, Elkhart Civic Theatre has been performing a wide variety of theatrical entertainment in Elkhart County, Indiana. From small beginnings as the Elkhart Little Theatre in the late 1940s, presenting one or two plays a year in borrowed or rented facilities, the organization has grown to a full-fledged arts organization. Today, ECT owns and operates the Bristol Opera House, a 100-year-old theatre in Bristol, Indiana, where it performs the bulk of its productions. ECT produces a six-show season, usually consisting of four non-musicals and two musicals. There is also a summer musical, a Christmas season musicale and other special events. In recent years, ECT has gained statewide and regional recognition as one of the best community theatres in the midwest.
