Derby Dinner Playhouse will present the Broadway musical INTO THE WOODS, opening February 23 and running through April 3, 2016. For ticket information, call 812-288-8281 or visit www.derbydinner.com.

INTO THE WOODS is an epic and modern fairytale about wishes, family, and the choices we make. As the result of the curse of a once-beautiful witch, a baker and his wife are left childless. Three days before the rise of a blue moon, they venture into the forest to find the ingredients that will reverse the spell and restore the witch's beauty: a milk-white cow, hair as yellow as corn, a blood-red cape, and a slipper of gold. During their journey, they meet Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Jack, each one on a quest to fulfill a wish. Everyone's wish is eventually granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

This enchanting and wickedly witty Tony Award-winning musical features a score written by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine. Songs featured in this production are "Into the Woods", "Hello Little Girl", "Agony", "Ever After", and more.

Derby Dinner's production of INTO THE WOODS is directed by Lee Buckholz with Musical Direction by Scott Bradley and Choreography by Heather Paige Folsom. The cast will include Sara King as the Witch, Matthew Brennan as the Baker, Jillian Prefach as the Baker's Wife, Jim Hesselman as the Narrator, and many more!

INTO THE WOODS is recommended for ages 13 & up.
