South Bend Civic Theatre will present Sister Act, running September 15 - October 1 in the Wilson Theatre, directed by Stephen and Stephanie Salisbury.

With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Cheri & Bill Steinkellner, and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane, the musical is based on the Touchstone Pictures motion picture, Sister Act, written by Joseph Howard.

Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film, featuring original music by Tony and eight time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors).

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she uses her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, breathing new life into the church and community and blowing her cover.

Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story, Sister Act will leave you breathless.
