As its hair-raising contribution to the month of Movember, Cape Town Opera presents Rossini’s hilarious opera buffa, The Barber of Seville. The nimblest barber in Seville, Figaro is the go-to man for a close shave. And there are close shaves aplenty in this comic opera when Figaro helps the lovestruck Count Almaviva abduct his sweetheart Rosina from her nasty guardian Don Bartolo.
