Siembamba at Artscape Arena

Artscape Heritage Festival Presents Siembamba, a multi-lingual memory play that tenderly but critically explores two very different people, a black domestic worker and the white child she raised in the 1980s, forging an intimate mother?child bond at a time when they were socialized to hate one another.

Winner of a 2014 Standard Bank Silver Ovation Award, and performed at the 2014 Amsterdam Fringe Festival as “Best of South African Fringe.”
