The Shakespeare Schools Festival is an additional education program from the United Kingdom, aimed at improving language and social skills through the performing arts. As EduCape's flagship project, it was piloted in 2010 by founder Kseniya Filinova-Bruton with the objective of revealing the link between arts and education. Each year, the festival encourages schools to perform abridged, 30-minute versions of Shakespearean plays in local professional theatres. In a non-competitive spirit, the festival provides a platform of equal opportunity where there are no boundaries to participation.
