Nritya is the expressive element of the classical art forms of India, it is the application of physical movements in conjunction with the mind and soul. Alankaaram is to adorn or beautify. So, Nritya Alankaaram is to beautify and so uplift the soul through dance.
Inspired by the excellent music, the choreographers have deviated from the conventional constructs of an Indian Classical Dance Recital, to piece together a performance with a fresh perspective and accessible to all members of the audience, while retaining the aesthetics and theoretical accuracy of the root Classical forms. The observer is introduced to the richness of the ageless and timeless Indian Classical Arts, while experiencing the universal human emotions of joy, love and spiritual salvation.
Presented by most accomplished dancers, trained and steeped in the classical art forms of India as well as the contemporary dance style; you will witness the pure forms of dance and bear testament to the agility of the Indian Classical art forms in lending themselves to a contemporary dance format.
