Family, friends, the school where she was a history teacher, the children laughed at her. Katie is a famous "bergie" on Greenmarket Square, full of stories and regions. Everyone knows her and she knows everyone, and a "smile and a chuckle cost you anything, but if it's a life lesson is, it costs R5.00!" Katie's story is not unique. It has already a lot has happened, but what makes her story of being on the street so special? Was it the tear as a child of District Six in 1966?
