Into Isintu at Artscape Theatre

This multicultural children’s musical takes place in Cape Town, the home of the Spirit of Table Mountain. The Spirit has resided within the mountain, witnessing the evolution of the city, but today he wanders the streets disguised as an old bergie, bemoaning the state of modern society and mourning the loss of the nation’s cultural identity. The characters engage with the audience members, inviting them to comment and help the actors unravel the plot until the story reaches its climax with the realisation that Africa is a home to a number of cultural identities who regard the continent as their home.
