Distrik 6 Klassique at ARTSCAPE Opera House

From opera singers to pianists and ballet dancers come from the streets of District Six - most of whom were members of the Eoan Group, which held art in the Six under way. This concert pays tribute to the Eoan Group and known artists' contribution to classical music and opera in District Six. Hear popular music pieces from operas and operettas by Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti and Johann Strauss II, and from musicals - all hits who had been played by the musicians of District Six. The Cape Philharmonic Youth Orchestra is back on stage with renowned soloists. Conductor Brandon Phillips will lead the concert and of Cape Town's best young musical talent will perform.
