Coppelia at ARTSCAPE Opera House

The CAPE TOWN CITY BALLET brings back a perennial favourite in the ballet, COPPELIA,
Based on the well- known story by E.T.A. Hoffmann, this is balletic entertainment at its very best. It incorporates romance, intrigue and deception, transporting the viewer to a world of folklore and witchcraft, with a happy ending.

This ballet features both Mervyn Williams and Johnny Bovang in the role of the eccentric doll-maker, Dr Coppelius, while future stars of the CTCB portray the roles of Swanilda and Franz.
