Abraham at Artscape Theatre

Jans Rautenbach Abraham tells the story of a sculptor of Vlakteplaas near penny, Rautenbach's lodgings. The sculptor tried a young Rautenbach impressed with his art, with far-reaching consequences. Rautenbach's first film in over 30 years, his most personal film, a highly sensitive and touching look at people on the margins of society, the power of the creative process, the wish to be heard, and human relationships in all their shades. It is a lyrical look at the dreams of the artist in the midst of a harsh reality.
