Elaborating on his method of collage, Francesco Nassimbeni weaves drama, design, music and poetry to produce pieces that have been variously described as 'tone poems', 'visual music' and 'theatrical mood-boards'. Nassimbeni is a theatre-maker, designer, writer and arts educator. Most recently he directed and designed Klara Van Wyk's enormously popular one-person show, YOU SUCK (AND OTHER INESCAPABLE TRUTHS), which earned her both a Standard Bank Ovation award and a Fleur du Cap nomination.

ALL OF IT, EVERYTHING, NOW, TOGETHER concludes his study on visuality in performance at the University of Cape Town and is an experiment in how graphic design can express itself through the medium of performance. This project is the culmination of his Master of Arts research.

Nassimbeni has collaborated with celebrated designer Heath Nash, known for his subtle, subtractive design process and ingenious repurposing of discarded materials and objects to create the aesthetic for the piece, which is accompanied by Kanya Viljoen using Nassimbeni's own nusical score.

The result is a meditative visual poem, performed by a dynamic group of UCT's theatremaking and acting students, including Naledi Majola, Andi Colombo, Tailyn Ramsamy, Siphesihle Mnganga and Bianca Oosthuizen.

ALL OF IT, EVERYTHING, NOW, TOGETHER runs from 15 - 19 February at the University of Cape Town's Bindery Lab, situated on Hiddingh Campus at 27 Orange Street in Gardens. Book tickets by emailing the Little Theatre office or phoning 021 650 7129. View a trailer for the production below:
