One of the most successful stage comedies on London's West End, Tom, Dick and Harry, adapted for the South African stage as MY BOETIE SE BOETIE SE BOETIE SE BABA, hits Carnival City's Mardi Gras Theatre in July 2015. Adapted and translated by Frans Swart, this show promises to have audiences rolling in the aisles.
MY BOETIE SE BOETIE SE BOETIE SE BABA tells the hilarious story of Tom Koekemoer and his wife Linda who are in the process of adopting a baby. All that remains is avisit from the social worker, answering a few questions and the baby will finally be theirs. However, things do not work out that way. While Tom is living a respected middle class life, the same cannot be said of his brothers Dick and Harry. It is not that the brothers are not close but the threesome is clearly two-thirds dysfunctional. Dick has just returned from Zimbabwe with contraband cigarettes and brandy, and Harry is trying to bury a cadaver in Tom's garden. To make matters worse, two illegal immigrants appear on the scene, the prudish social worker arrives, a never-say-die police constable becomes suspicious and the scoundrel Boris comes to fetch his payment. What transpire is a colossal mix up that will have audiences laughing breathlessly.
MY BOETIE SE BOETIE SE BOETIE SE BABA features top local actors including Ana van Achterbergh, Botha Enslin, Cindy Swanepoel, Cobus Venter, Dirk Vermeulen, Duncan Johnson, Francois van Rensburg, Marga van Rooy and Phillru van Achterbergh.
