After a successful run at the Cape Town Fringe Festival, Harold Pinter's ASHES TO ASHES comes to the Alexander Bar and Café's Upstairs Theatre.
On a summer evening, Rebecca recalls a sadomasochistic ritual between her and a past lover. An intrigued Devlin proceeds to interrogate her in an attempt to rekindle their relationship. She must revoke her repressed past to face her troubled present while his suspicions grow and his desire to secure and control their future is threatened by her enigmatic recollections. Pinter's play asks how we live in the present if we repress our past atrocities.
Directed by Gabriella Pinto, starring Terry Norton as Rebecca and Mark Elderkin as Devlin, ASHES TO ASHES runs from 26 January to 7 February. Tickets cost R90-R100. Book securely online with a credit card at the Alexander Bar Website. Tickets can also be purchases in person at the bar anytime during its regular opening hours. Follow Alexander Bar on Facebook or Twitter for more information about the theatre and its shows.
