The cast and creatives of THE FULL MONTY

Rehearsals are well underway for the Pinelands Players' November production of THE FULL MONTY. This local season of the musical penned by Terrence McNally and David Yazbek is directed by Laura Bosman, with musical direction by Barend van der Westhuizen.

THE FULL MONTY is a hilarious and moving stage show based on the iconic film that was released twenty years ago. The musical was first performed in 2000, premiering in San Diego before a run on Broadway that earned the show nine Tony Award nominations. A West End production followed in 2001, with the show's South African premiere taking place in 2008.

THE FULL MONTY follows six suddenly unemployed men who have families to support and bills to pay. They are desperate to salvage their pride and make some money, but just how far are they prepared to go to provide for their loved ones? After seeing a group of male strippers rake in the cash, they come up with a bold and crazy plan to go one better - they will go all the way for one night only.

THE FULL MONTY is a pop-rock musical comedy full of heart. It is about overcoming gender prejudices, male insecurities and fears of inadequacy, as the men, who think they have nothing to lose but their clothes, begin to realise how their plan will leave them exposed both physically and emotionally. Featuring the most anticipated closing number of any show, THE FULL MONTY is about six men who eventually find strength in each other and the women in their lives who love them and cheer them on.

The cast of THE FULL MONTY includes Matthew Roy (Jerry), Chris Laurie (Dave), David Wilke (Malcolm), Simon Speck (Harold), Wesley Figaji (Ethan), Nathan Muller (Noah), Jaime Uranovsky (Georgie), Regina Malan (Vicki), Candice Burgess (Pam), Fiona Carling (Jeanette), Shaun Saal (Keno), Kimberley Pappas (Estelle), Sebastian Rodrigues (Nathan), Rosemary Wilke (Molly), Kerryn Warren (Susan), Santie du Toit (Joanie), Pierre Robertson (Reg) and Chris Cameron-Dow (Teddy).

THE FULL MONTY runs at GrandWest's Roxy Revue Bar on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 19:30 from 10 - 25 November. Tickets cost R130 and can be booked through Quicket. There is a special "ladies only" performance on 12 November at 18:00 pm for ladies only, for which audiences can book exclusively by email. Please note that the show contains some strong language and adult themes, and is not recommended for children 13 years of age or younger.
