After its initiation at Biekie Bosman Festival, Groot Marico, Oom Schalk, from the Heart has ridden into town to charm audiences of all ages. The show will be performed at Kalk Bay Theatre from Wednesday to Sunday from today, 26 March to 6 April at 8pm and 6pm for Sunday performances.
Popular performer David Muller has become renowned for his special brand of entertainment that also educates young minds, in his alter ego as the Merry Scholar. Muller has delighted audiences in shows such as Imagining Einstein and Harbour, the Kalk Bay Musical in which he appeared alongside Bill Knight. Muller has recently returned from Bahrain where he performed Heathcote Williams' Whale Nation in the rib cage of a fifteen metre Bryde's Whale Skeleton.
Oom Schalk from the Heart has travelled to the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, to Groot Marico, toured the Eastern Cape and been presented in Maun in Botswana. Press comments have included;
