One Night Only to View THE VERY BEST OF NAKED GIRLS READING at Alexander Bar Upstairs Theatre

THE VERY BEST OF NAKED GIRLS READING will appear for one night only in Cape Town at the Alexander Bar Upstairs Theatre this August. The live reading, presented by the Cape Town chapter of this international movement, features readers Cherry Lesque, Jezzy Belle, Lyricnotic and Charlie French, with Kelly Smith serving as producer.

Naked Girls Read­ing is a nude lit­er­ary salon that takes place in twenty cities around the world on five dif­fer­ent con­ti­nents. At each event, a small cast of beau­ti­ful ladies remove their cloth­ing and read per­sonal selec­tions to an ador­ing audi­ence. There is some­thing beau­ti­ful, some­thing alto­gether more inti­mate, about a woman read­ing in the nude. It is enter­tain­ing, mag­i­cal, often funny, some­times heart-wrench­ing and really very sexy.

For 75 minutes, THE VERY BEST OF NAKED GIRLS READING will bring audiences a scintillating round-up of popular readings selected from all the previous "Naked Girls Reading" events to date. In the past year and a half, the Naked Girls have delighted audiences with tales of love, horror, wisdom and celebration and cannot wait to share their favourite picks of the bunch.

THE VERY BEST OF NAKED GIRLS READING is being presented in conjunction with The Grand Exhibition, an International Burlesque Benefit, and proceeds will be donated to Rape Crisis. The one-night-only performance takes place on 1 August and tickets can be booked online at the Alexander Bar website or purchased in person at the bar at any time during its regular opening hours.
