THE Artscape Theatre Centre on Cape Town's Foreshore is to add a new convenience for patrons to the complex, with the opening of the Artscafé on 1 November 2011.
"The new facility is a welcome addition to Artscape's diverse range of products which caters for the Cape Town community," says Artscape CEO Michael Maas.
Located between the Artscape Opera House and the Cape Town Civic Centre, the Artscafé will be a relaxed coffee shop with comfortable seating indoors, as well as on the Artscape piazza.
The venue is fully licensed and will offer breakfasts, light meals, healthy snacks, toasted treats, burgers, pitas, wraps, salads, cakes, muffins and beverages.
"The emphasis is on good food, reasonable prices and efficient service." Besides catering for thousands of Artscape patrons, Artscafé will also serve as a convenient rendezvous for commuters at the nearby MyCiTi bus main terminal," says Maas.
"With recent announcements of the multi-million rand expansion to the Cape Town International Convention Centre, Artscape has become a focal point in the revitalisation of the Foreshore precinct," says Maas.
