ANNIE, the popular musical based upon the Harold Gray's comic strip Little Orphan Annie, with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan, will add to the magic of New Year's Eve in the Mother City magic, ringing in the new year with a 21:00 performance on 31 December.
The evening promises to be very festive, with the entire audience invited to join the stellar cast after the show for a glass of bubbly and snacks on the piazza. An eclectic blues, jazz and rock band, Crooked, will provide live entertainment, playing favourite hits made famous by artists like Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry and bands like The Beatles, Guns 'n Roses, The Rolling Stones and more.
Tickets for the New Year's Eve performance of ANNIE range in price from R250 to R600 per person. The regular season continues at the Artscape Opera House until 8 January 2017, with performances running on Tuesdays through Saturdays at 19:30, additional weekend shows on Saturdays at 15:00 and and Sundays at 14:00 and 17:30.
