MASTER HAROLD…AND THE BOYS Extends Once More Due To Overwhelming Demand

The Fugard Theatre's acclaimed tenth birthday production of Athol Fugard's masterpiece "MASTER HAROLD"...AND THE BOYS has been extended for a final time due to overwhelming demand.

Presented by Eric Abraham and The Fugard Theatre, "MASTER HAROLD"...AND THE BOYS will now run in the Fugard Studio Theatre until 21 March 2020.

Directed by the Fugard Theatre's Artistic Director Greg Karvellas (The Road to Mecca, The Father, Shakespeare in Love, Clybourne Park, Bad Jews, Statements After An Arrest Under The Immorality Act), the production stars Kai Luke Brummer (feature film MOFFIE) as Hally, Desmond Dube (KING KONG, I SEE YOU and popular film and TV star) as Sam and Siya Mayola (TV AMAZA, SARA SE GEHEIM) as Willie.

Review: THE NUTCRACKER at the the Artscape Theatre Centre Is a Lush, Festive Treat

In December 2022, I had the honour of seeing Veronica Paeper and Cape Town City Ballet’s THE NUTCRACKER. The same talented production team returns this season to stage this timeless ballet again. The result is just as beautiful as when I watched it two years ago. While this year’s production takes place in the Theatre rather than the larger Opera House, the production does not lose any of the magic from the 2022 production.

ALL MY EX LOVERS ARE DEAD is part confessional, part intimate chat with a good friend. Written and directed by Dara Beth, this one-woman show is “an all too honest, mostly autobiographical reflection on love, desire, poor life choices, and how many cups of tea it takes to wake up and smell the coffee”. The production stars Qondiswa James as Echo, a hopeless romantic who probably wouldn’t describe herself that way.
