Although Karin Hougaard has been living and working abroad for seven years already, she comes home at least once a year to visit, to eat milk tart and biltong and - maybe - also to sing.
On 29 April, Hougaard will visit the Cape and make her debut at the Drostdy Theatre with a programme specially compiled for this gig in Stellenbosch, including - among others - famous hits like "Bly," "Skollieklong" and "Kruietuin." Hougaard will also perform some of her latest works, which feature Dutch superstar Herman Van Veen as co-author.
Karin Hougaart's 90-minute programme, which is musically directed and accompanied by Jaconell Mouton, takes place at 20:15 on 29 April. Tickets cost R120 and bookings are through the Drostdy Theater website. Follow the theatre's Facebook page and Twitter feed and Instagram account for more information on this and other events.
