A cornucopia of spoken-word poetry and music will be opened at the Alexander Bar and Café's Upstairs Theatre when INDUMISO ZOTHANDO (LOVE PSALMS) plays there this February. The hour-long tribute to the month of love and Valentine's Day is presented by Lingua Franca.
In music and poetry, INDUMISO ZOTHANDO (LOVE PSALMS) bears witness to love, its revelations and contradictions. The performance will celebrate the divinity of love, unpack its difficulties and attempt to put to words the profoundly indescribable.
Directed by Lwanda Sindaphi and Mbongeni Nomkonwana, with Koleka Putuma joining the production team as creative director, INDUMISO ZOTHANDO (LOVE PSALMS) stars Anele Kose, Koleka Putuma, Khanyiso Mabhodla, Mbongeni Nomkonwana, Lwanda Sindaphi and Javier Perez. Musical direction is by Babalwa Makwethu.
