I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE Revival Set for Cape Town And Johannesburg

VRG Theatrical is proud to announce that a new, upscale production of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE will be presented in Cape Town and Johannesburg from July to September 2016.

Written by Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro with music by Jimmy Roberts, I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is Off-Broadway's love letter to the dating and mating game. The production is made up of a series of vignettes that take a close and hilarious look at love and relationships.

The versatile cast of four actors portrays more than 52 different characters, complete with over 30 wardrobe and wig changes. These talented, proudly South African actors are Neels Clasen (WE WILL ROCK YOU, MAMMA MIA!), Brandon Lindsay (STARLIGHT EXPRESS, WEST SIDE STORY), Taryn-Lee Hudson (JERSEY BOYS, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN), and Fleur du Cap Theatre Award nominee Claire Taylor (CABARET, SUNSET BOULEVARD). The quartet will be accompanied by piano and violin under the musical direction of Wessel Odendaal.

Directed by Elizma Badenhorst, this colourful revival sports a pop-art inspired set and wardrobe by Niall Griffin. Musical staging is by Timothy le Roux.

This hilarious feel-good musical has enjoyed sell-out success across the globe, having opened in almost 300 different cities worldwide. The production has had South African productions at the Joburg Theatre Complex, when it was still known as the Civic Theatre, in Johannesburg in 1999 (directed by Charmaine Weir-Smith for Venture Capital and Perfect Change), at the Kalk Bay Theatre in Cape Town and the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2010 (directed by Paul Griffiths for ROLSKA Productions to Standard Bank Ovation Award-winning effect) and at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre in Durban (directed by Greg King for KickstArt Productions).

I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE will be on the boards at Theatre On The Bay in Camps Bay from 20 July until 6 August and at Pieter Toerien's Montecasino Theatre from 10 August until 4 September.
