Engelbert Humperdinck Adds Third ENGELBERT CALLING Concert at Montecasino

Leading local promoter, Showtime Management, has added an extra date to the legendary Engelbert Humperdinck's ENGELBERT CALLING concerts in South Africa this November. With over 150 million records sold, four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe for "Entertainer of the Year" (1988), 63 gold and 24 platinum albums and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Humperdinck is a musical legend, celebrating over forty years as a performing and recording artist.

This extra concert will allow South African fans to be swooned and crooned by this legend, the fourth in a series of intimate concerts, up close and personal when, after opening his South African tour at the Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town, Humperdinck will perform not two, but three shows at the Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg.

Soon the "Humper", as he is fondly known, will be singing his ever popular hits such as (Please) Release Me"; the unforgettable "Quando, Quando, Quando"; and many of his evergreen hits such as "After The Lovin", "Spanish Eyes", "The Last Waltz", "Am I That Easy To Forget?", "There Goes My Everything", "Les Bicyclettes de Belsize", "Winter World Of Love" and "This Moment In Time" for adoring fans.

Local fans are in for a treat when Humperdinck sings "Runaway" and three new numbers from his brand new album, RUNAWAY COUNTRY. The veteran crooner recorded RUNAWAY COUNTRY, his first album of all-country tunes, which will also mark the debut of his own label Spin Records. Humperdinck comments on his decision to "go country" for this 81st album:

These are some of my favorite country songs - I decided to put them all on one album. We'll see what kind of reaction it gets out of the audience. That's the main part - if the audience likes it.
