Dance for All follows their recent 25th Anniversary celebrations at Artscape with IMIBULELO ("In Gratitude from Us to You"), which will be presented at the Springfield Convent Centenary Hall on 10 December with two performances at 14:00 and 19:00.
IMIBULELO showcases the diversity of the students with the variety of dance forms offered by the organisation with a carefree, lively and a light-hearted feel to it. The 90-minute dance production will feature 150 dancers of different ages from the areas of Nyanga, Langa, Khayelitsha, Philippi, Delft, Kenilworth, Paarl as well as the rural areas of Montagu and Barrydale.
Items from various choreographers, including the staff of Dance for All, as well as guest acts, such as the Hip Hop group Concrete Apostles, and others, add wholeheartedly to the evening's entertainment.
Dance for All's mission is to provide children in historically disadvantaged communities with the opportunity for enjoyment, empowerment and the promotion of self-esteem through the medium of dance, as well as training professional dancers and developing a unique, indigenous dance company.
Tickets for IMIBULELO will be for sale at the door on the day of the performance at R50 per person. For more information, email Dance for All or visit the Dance for All website.
