Cocktails for a Cause Held At The Box, Broadway in South Africa 4/15

Cocktails for a Cause is an exclusive one-night only event on Thursday, April 15th, 2010 with special guest Tiffany ("I Think We're Alone Now") and a host of Broadway stars. The event benefits Broadway in South Africa, an arts service organization that brings Broadway artists to South Africa to work with children whose lives have been affected by poverty and AIDS.

Artists performing include Tiffany, Broadway actors Carly Jibson (Hairspray, Cry Baby) Tracy McDowell (Rent), Adam Kantor (Rent), Frankie James Grande (Mamma Mia), Lili Cooper (Spring Awakening), Sean Bradford (The Lion King), an original dance piece choreographed by Shea Sullivan and performed by Tommy Scrivens and Lauren Strigari, singer/songwriter Jeremy Schonfeld, and America's Got Talent Finalist The Glamazons. Also performing are many of The Box's regulars, including, Rosewood, singer Acantha, who will perform the sexy, burlesque routines that have made The Box famous.

Doors open at 8pm for cocktails and table service. There will be 2 different shows performed throughout the evening, starting at 9pm.

The Box is located at 189 Chrystie Street. Tables of eight are available for $500, which includes a bottle of vodka or champagne. There is a $20 cover charge for all guests which goes directly to Broadway in South Africa.. Individual tickets available. For reservations email: reservations@theboxnyc.com.

Broadway in South Africa is a non-profit organization that aims to develop a cross-cultural exchange between youth who are in need and artists who seek to use their talents for change. BSA conducts workshops at schools, orphanages and child crisis centers in  townships around Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban, South Africa.
