Artscape Theatre Centre is set to celebrate the talent of young musicians as well as the success of their band leaders within their respective communities in a grand mass band extravaganza to be held on stage from 26 - 28 October.

Band Stand is a three-day festival that will feature some of the country's best up and coming musicians from eleven (11) bands that were selected from across the province through auditions and workshops facilitated by well-known musicians who also served as mentors such as Ian Smith, Camillo Lombard, Amanda Tiffin and Marc de Kock.

The festival will feature different bands with every performance and is aimed advocating and promoting a platform for band leaders and their respective bands to showcase their commitment to music literacy and developing young musicians within the fields of brass and wood winds.
