Join the Washington Pavilion for their annual Spooky Science event on Saturday, October 20 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. The event features sensational and spooky activities for all ages at the Kirby Science Discovery Center and the Visual Arts Center.
Spooky Science encourages children to explore the wonders of science and art through experimentation, discovering and creating through hands-on activities for all ages. Event favorites include boo bubbles, squishy slime, black cat origami and hands-on interactive science and art activities and experiments. All children will also go home with a bag of Halloween goodies! Costumes are encouraged but not required.
New this year: Mascot Radley Rex, the Washington Pavilion's newest team member, will be making appearances throughout the event and handing out his special coloring book.
Enjoy engaging and fun activities from organizations such as 'Hood Magazine, Delta Dental of South Dakota, the Siouxland Libraries, Sanford Promise, the USD Chemistry Club and many more! The South Dakota State University SciSquad team returns this year with the Pumpkin Squashing Institute. This fun and explosive demonstration will include exploding pumpkins, oozing pumpkins and pumpkin tossing.
