The Sioux City Community Theater will continue its 2009-2010 season with upcoming productions of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, THE ODD COUPLE FEMALE VERSION, and ANNIE.
SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, a musical revue, is "about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back." You'll be transported from the deck of a 1942 Spanish ship to a ledge of 57 stories above Fifth Avenue. You'll meet an array of character ranging from a young man who believes that basketball is his ticket out of the ghetto to a woman whose dream of marrying rich nabs her the man of her dreams. SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD will perform April 9 and 10 at 7:30 pm, April 11 at 2:00 pm, April 15-17 at 7:30 pm, and April 18 at 2:00 pm. On May 14 and 15 at 7:30 pm, May 16 at 2:00 pm, May 20-22 at 7:30 pm, and May 23 2:00 pm, THE ODD COUPLE FEMALE VERSION will perform at the Sioux City Community Theater. Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's contemporary comic classic: The Female Version of the Odd Couple.
