The Great Escape at Esplanade Recital Studio

The Steve McQueens are a neo-vintage soul band from Singapore influenced by the likes of the soulful and sultry and the eclectic and eccentric, such as Theolonius Monk, James Brown, Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, Brad Mehldau and Robert Glasper. Their music, an amalgamation of soul, jazz, pop and some blues, is a groove-based hybrid of tight arrangements and freely improvised sounds.
