Sporting a heavier sound with bleaker, more contemplative overtones than their previous works, this new four-track compilation is an invitation into the band’s meta-universe, coded with stories of love, heartbreak, and the irrationalities of youth. It is their first official release since coming together in 2011.

This December, chase the wistful highs and lows of falling in and out of love, and take a tender hyper-jump into bedroom headspace as Riot !n Magenta fire up their drives in this latest reboot.
RIOT !N MAGENTA is the musical brainchild of vocalist/songwriter Eugenia Yip, and keyboardist/producer Hayashida Ken. Two years since their sparkling debut at Esplanade’s Baybeats 2011, the duo has performed at the Hello ASEAN Music Festival in Bali, Mosaic Music Festival 2012, and Blu Jaz Café, and has also produced music for Tara Tan’s mixed media performance installation, Cloud, at Esplanade. Completing the line-up is their newest member, keyboardist/guitarist Khairyl Hashim (also of local indie band The Great Spy Experiment) who will be making his first appearance as part of the band.
