Works featured are the calming Arvo Pärt’s Speigel im Spiegel (“Mirrors in the Mirror”), the mystical Toru Takemitsu’s Distance de Fee, the luscious Richard Strauss’ Sonata for Violin and Piano in E-flat major, Op. 18, and enthralling works by Singaporean musician-composer Kailin Yong, also known as the “Fiddler for Peace” in the United States. The “culinary artists” to this hearty meal for the soul are Singaporean violinist Lee Shi Mei and international award-winning Japanese pianist Yuko Tanaka.
