The bass trombone and tuba have always been known to be supporting voices in the orchestra and bands. Tonight, they take centre stage as young musicians Jasper Tan and Shawn Yap, accompanied by pianist Gabriel Hoe, present a recital focused on new music that showcases the versatility of these instruments. On the programme are works by Steven Verhelst, Daniel Schnyder, Anna Baadsvik, Christer Danielsson, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Jacques Castérède, Vittorio Monti as well as local composer, Terrence Wong.
