THE PILLOWMAN by Pangdemonium was first staged in 2007 and directed by Tracie Pang. A decade later and in response to overwhelming demand, they are thrilled to start its 2017 Season with this play, 24 February to 12 March 2017 at the Victoria Theatre.

Winner of two Tony Awards and Olivier Award for Best Play, THE PILLOWMAN opens in a prison cell where a writer is being questioned about the stories he has written - grim tales that bear semblance to killings in the streets outside. As the interrogation progresses, tensions mount and the divide between real and fictional worlds blur. The result is a vicious story-telling and an unflinching examination of the very nature and purpose of art.

"Over the years, we have received countless requests from Pangdemonium supporters to stage THE PILLOWMAN again. And seeing as it will be exactly ten years since we last worked on it, and especially because we absolutely love this hilarious, shocking, suspenseful, moving script, we are more than thrilled to do so! While we will be making sure we preserve what made the original production so memorable, this is also a chance for us to reboot, re-energise, and reinvent this brilliant play. We can't wait to revisit our friend in THE PILLOWMAN.", said the Artistic Director, Adrian and Tracie Pang

The show will also see the reunion of three of the four original leads, Adrian Pang, Daniel Jenkins and Shane Mardjuki. Also starring Andy Tear, Bright Ong, Victoria Minty, introducing Prudence Rivero and directed by Tracie Pang.

THE PILLOWMAN celebrates the raw, vital human instinct to invent fantasies, to lie for sport and to con for one's own end. Catch this sinisterly funny nail-biting thriller and buy your ticket in SISTIC!
