ABBA mania shows no signs of abating. Following the Mamma Mia! stage musical and two movies, here we go again with Mamma Mia! The Party a?' a hybrid musical theatre/dinner/nightclub experience. London is the first place outside of Sweden to host it, with plans to expand to other territories soon (Las Vegas and New York are possibilities).

BroadwayWorld has a first look at opening night of Mamma Mia! the Party at The O2 London, on Thursday 19 September. Executive producer Björn Ulvaeus appeared during the show wearing his original ABBA costume from 1977 and welcomed guests including Mark Gatiss, Noel Fielding, Craig Revel Horwood and Arlene Phillips.

Steph Parry's previous work includes 42nd Street, Mamma Mia!, Wicked and Billy Elliot. Her current project is the immersive theatrical dining experience Mamma Mia! The Party, which begins at The O2 on 29 August.

These days, it seems that it's not enough to simply go for dinner or a night at the theatre. For decades, diners have been entertained by music and cabaret performances, but now, immersive dining experiences are increasingly offering something a bit different: a meal, along with an immersive theatrical performance, often around and with the diners themselves. New tickets will go on sale from 10.00am on Friday 24 May 2019.
