42nd Street on Stage Videos - US Tour

San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon (Daren A.C. Carollo and Daniel Thomas, Co-Executive Directors) just announced the full cast and creative team for the 2019 return production of the beloved Holiday musical SCROOGE IN LOVE! A smash-hit sell-out in 2015 (World Premiere) and 2016, SCROOGE IN LOVE! is back by popular demand to delight Moon audiences of all ages.

BroadwayHD presents viewers the chance to come and meet those dancing feet of 42nd Street, when it debuts in cinemas as a one-night Fathom Events screening in movie theaters nationwide on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. local time. It will then be available on the Webby-nominated streaming service at a date to be announced.

Sutton Foster's start on Broadway is the real-life version of the stuff movie musicals are made of; one week before the opening of Throughly Modern Millie on Broadway, Foster received a call from director Michael Mayer, bumping her up from understudy to the star of the show—and the rest is musical theatre history. This morning, Foster sat down with CBS' Mo Rocca to chat about her journey as a Broadway actress, and her current starring roles in TV Land's Younger and The New Group's Sweet Charity. When speaking about the latter, in reference to recovering from her divorce several years ago, Foster said, “What's interesting is that I know [Charity], because I think I have been her, but luckily, I don't feel like I'm her now.” 

Paper Mill Playhouse opens its 2015-2016 season with the world premiere musical THE BANDSTAND. As previously announced, Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes (Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Bonnie and Clyde), Corey Cott(Newsies, Gigi) and Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, 42nd Street) will star in THE BANDSTAND. The show began performances last night, October 8, 2015, and runs through Sunday, November 8, 2015. The official press opening night is Sunday, October 18, at 7:00pm. TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents the Off Broadway premiere of HARD LOVE, the searing 2003 play by Israeli playwright Motti Lerner. This first play of the 2015/16 season - the company's 23rd - is directed by TACT Artistic & Executive Director Scott Alan Evans, who most recently directed Beyond Therapy by Christopher Durang. The show is currently playing at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues). Opening night is set for Sunday, October 11th at 6:30pm. TROIKA Entertainment, LLC has announced that the national tour of the quintessential backstage musical comedy classic 42nd STREET has launched on September 22, 2015 at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City, UT. This sparkling new production is directed by co-author Mark Bramble and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the team who staged the 2001 Tony Award winning Best Revival.  Check out a first look at highlights of the tour below!

With a book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, music by Jim Wise, and music supervision and vocal & dance arrangements by Emmy Award winner Rob Berman (Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Finian's Rainbow), Dames at Sea will be directed and choreographed by three time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner (42nd Street, Irving Berlin's White Christmas). Harold Pinter's Old Times, directed by Douglas Hodge, is coming to Broadway as part of Roundabout's 50th anniversary season, starring Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly. The show will begin preview performances on Thursday, September 17, 2015, and open officially on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, November 29, 2015, on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Abundance, the 1990 play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart). An epic tale of friendship set against the backdrop of the sweeping American West, Abundance will be directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, who directed last season's production ofWilliam Inge's Natural Affection. Performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on February 17. Opening night is set for this Sunday, March 1, 2015.
