Raven Theatre is pleased to announce casting for the final production of its 35th anniversary season: Tennessee Williams' stark and intriguing drama SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER directed by Jason Gerace.

The final production of Raven Theatre Company's 2017-18 season will be Tennessee Williams' stark and poetic Suddenly, Last Summer.

First images released of the cast for the London premiere of Tennesee Williams' 'CONFESSIONAL' at Southwark Playhouse, including Rob Ostlere, who was Arthur Digby for three years in 'Holby City'. Tramp's innovative, semi-immersive production reimagines Tennessee Williams' little known play in "Monk's Bar", a run-down British seaside bar on the Essex coast, frequented by life's flotsam and jetsam. The audience are seated in the pub with the locals while the action kicks off around them.

Executive Producers Roy Nevans and John Lant, in association with Edmund Gaynes, have announced the extention of 2 By Tennessee Williams: 27 WAGONS FULL OF COTTON starring Kathryn Luce Garfunkel and KINGDOM OF EARTH. Both plays are directed by Marilyn Fried and will run now through October 1st.

?Due to popular demand, A Red Orchid Theatre has extended its critically-acclaimed production of Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated, directed by Ensemble Member Dado. The Mutilated will now run through March 13, 2016. Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) announces the third show in its 2015-2016 season (and 24th year of producing theatrical excellence in Los Angeles!) with Tennessee Williams masterpiece SUMMER AND SMOKE, directed by Thom Babbes.  SUMMER AND SMOKE will preview on Wednesday, March 2 and Thursday, March 3 at 8pm and will open on Friday, March 4 at 8pm and run through Sunday, April 17 at the Actors Co-op David Schall Theatre, 1760 N. The company produces Tennessee Williams' one-acts Moony's Kid Don't Cry, directed by Jen Danby; The Lady of Larkspur Lotion, directed by Daniel Capalbo, Jr, with Miss Danby as Mrs. Hardwicke-Moore, an early sketch of Blanche DuBois; and Interior: Panic, an early sketch of A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Edward Bergen and starring Jen Danby and Colleen Leone as sisters Blanche and Grace. In celebration of the Tennessee Williams centennial, Westport Country Playhouse will stage Tennessee Williams' poetic, sensual and evocative drama, 'Suddenly Last Summer,' directed by Playhouse associate artistic director David Kennedy, playing August 23 - September 10.

The NY Times reports that James Franco will not be participating in the upcoming revival of Tennessee Williams' Sweet Bird of Youth alongside Nicole Kidman, as had previously been set. While no dates had been announced for the production, Kidman had been attached to the production officially as 'Alexandra', while the last reports indicate that Franco had all but signed on the dotted line for the role of 'Chance'. Back in January he told MTV that he planned to participate in the production, while later in the winter the revival's director David Cromer told the New York Times that he believed it was a done deal.
