The first and only revue of the music of Cy Coleman, The Best is Yet to Come: The Music of Cy Coleman is a star-studded Off-Broadway musical revue featuring music from Coleman’s Broadway hits (such as Sweet Charity, City of Angels, Little Me, On the Twentieth Century, The Will Rogers Follies); pop hits made famous by the likes of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand; and never-before-heard showstoppers Coleman was working on before his passing.Under the direction of Tony Award-winner David Zippel; the stellar cast at 59E59 includes Helen Hayes Award-winner David Burnham, Tony nominee Sally Mayes, multiple Tony nominee Howard McGillin, Grammy Award winner Billy Stritch, Tony Award-winner Lillias White, and Drama Desk Award winner Rachel York .The authors, cast, orchestrator and design team have 32 Tony Awards between them. An 8-piece swing band conducted by Stritch blows the roof off the intimate 198-seat theatre at 59E59 during this limited 7-week run.
