BWW Review: Marsh and Brown razzle dazzle us at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma as FROST/NIXON hits eerily close to home
by Chelcy Harrell - Sep 11, 2019
Whether it was the familiarity of close-ups on a lying politician, or the perfectly pleated plaid pants of a journalist, or the mere razzle dazzle of a company of elite Oklahoma City actors, Frost/Nixon proved to be an engaging and important piece of historical theatre that will leave you wondering if we are all, whether hero or villain, actor or politician, just a?oelooking for a way back into the sun, into the limelight?a??
BWW Review: FROST/NIXON at ITheatre Collaborative
by Nathaniel Jones - Apr 2, 2019
When it comes to historical pieces that focus on a particular person, a typical fear some may have is too far of a satirical take or caricature of a person. Although this type of comedic show has its niche, I find it great for a show to tread as close to the line of reality as possible without becoming too biographical. It's a line that when approached well, can make for an excellent piece, allowing patrons to leave entertained and maybe even a little more knowledgeable or at least interested in the subject. iTheatre Collaborative's production of FROST/NIXON is an example of when a skillfully written masterpiece collides with a cast and crew brimming with talent.

by Michael Rabice - Mar 4, 2019
The showman and the politician... No, this is not a description of Donald Trump. But feel free to insert any names you feel appropriate. In this case I am referring to David Frost and Richard Nixon, that unlikely duo that forms the basis of Peter Morgan's intense play FROST/NIXON now playing at Buffalo's Irish Classical Theatre.
