With the current theatre world on hiatus, I have created a Spotlight Series on Broadway World which features interviews with some of the many talented artists who make our Los Angeles theatre community so exciting and vibrant thanks to their ongoing contribution to keeping the Arts alive in the City of the Angels. And just like all of us, I wondered how they are dealing with the abrupt end of productions in which they were involved. This Spotlight focuses on Suzanne Mayes, who started out thinking she would pursue the stars as an astronaut and wound up shining onstage!

In response to the continually evolving novel coronavirus outbreak, Round House Theatre is updating its previously announced 2020-2021 Season. The upcoming season will now include Cost of Living by Martyna Majok. The previously announced God of Carnage will be postponed until the 2021-2022 Season. All remaining shows are still slated to continue, but the schedule has been updated. The Tempest, which is expected to draw in the largest crowds, will now perform at later dates.

Syracuse Stage announced today that the Tony Award winning musical a?oeOncea?? and the Cold Read Festival of New Plays, originally scheduled for this spring, will move to dates in September. a?oeOncea?? will perform Sept. 16 a?" Oct. 4 and Cold Read Sept. 22 a?" 27. Both remain part of the currently suspended 2019/2020 season. Single tickets for a?oeOncea?? will be on sale again July 25.
