?JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC will present the New York premiere of the new immersive theater event Mystery of the Silver Chalice, written and directed by Taylor Doherty. The show, produced by Tilted Windmills Theatricals, will take place on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:30 PM. The cast will feature Christina Bianco, Molly Pope, Lauren Zakrin, John Kaczorowski, Jacob Thompson and Katie White. There will be an additional industry-only private reading at the venue at 4:00 PM. Broadway Entertainment Group FZ LLC and NETworks Presentations LLC are pleased to announce their first ever, global tour of the English language production of SHREK THE MUSICAL with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori.  The production begins its journey in Istanbul, Turkey on the 22nd January, 2016 and will tour to diverse markets including Europe, the Middle East and Asia to cities including; Abu Dhabi, Jakarta and Singapore to name a few.

After a year of unprecedented success in bringing the best theatre to the Channel District, Stageworks announced what it deems 'our most ambitious season,' unveiling plans for 2015-16 which include a world premiere and a guest appearance by John Pinckard, a two-time Tony Award winner and co-producer of the critically-acclaimed Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder.

Let me start this review by saying that I generally like everything that I see; at least to a certain degree. I can usually find some redeeming artistic moment of any production to tide me over when the work as a whole isn't up to par. However in SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW, running through March 1st at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, I found almost no redeeming moments; nearly nothing on which to hang even the slightest artistic appreciation. This 'show' involves a collection of eight clownish-type individuals who walk around the stage for an hour and 45 minutes (including a 15 minute intermission) and do little more than make a mess. In a word, this show is nonsense; and not fun, clownish nonsense, just plan 'this makes no sense' nonsense.

Internationally renowned artist and Houston native Jef Johnson returns to Main Street Theater this fall. At MST's Theater for Youth, he is directing Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat, and on the MainStage, he will be presenting his one-man show, Azar. "Azar is an interactive, improvisational performance piece created and executed by one of the most exciting, vibrant, and inventive artists I've ever worked with," says MST Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden.
