Actor David Hyde Pierce stopped by this week's THE VIEW to talk about making his Broadway directorial debut in IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU. 'It's very exciting,' shared the actor

The cast and creators of the new Broadway musical It Shoulda Been You hope that your wedding was much more calm than the one in their show. The cast of IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU recently got together for a special photo shoot which will be featured in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, photographed by Andrew Eccles.

Every Day is Mother's Day at It Shoulda Been You" sweepstakes, participants will be able to share heartwarming and hilarious snapshots and stories of the motherly figure in their lives. They could win tickets and a gift certificate to NIOS restaurant at the Muse Hotel, to take mom out for a nice, pre-show dinner. Now that's something worth writing home about!  The contest will end at 11:59PM on Mother's Day (Sunday May 10th). A winner will be announced the week of May 11th.

It Shoulda Been You producers Daryl Roth, Scott Landis, Jane Bergere and Jayne Baron Sherman announced today that Tony Award nominee Montego Glover (Memphis), Josh Grisetti (Peter and the Starcatcher), Michael X. Martin (The Bridges of Madison County), Anne L. Nathan (Once), Nick Spangler (Book of Mormon) and Chip Zien (Into the Woods) will join the cast of the new musical comedy, directed by David Hyde Pierce. They join previously announced stars Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess, David Burtka, Lisa Howard, and Edward Hibbert, forming a blissful marriage of theatrical luminaries.

According to the New York Times, Broadway producer Daryl Roth is currently working on bringing a handful of shows to the Great White Way. Roth revealed in a newletter that she's currently casting for a stage adaptation of John Grisham's 'A Time to Kill, ' and is working on bringing David Hyde Pierce's 'It Shoulda Been You' to a Broadway stage.

This morning on 'Live! with Kelly' guest David Hyde Pierce announced that IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, a show that he directed this Fall at George Street Playhouse, will arrive on Broadway in Fall 2012. The New Jersey production starred Lisa Howard, Tom Deckman, Mylinda Hull, Tyne Daly, Richard Kline, Jessica Hershberg, and more. No official announcement has been made concerning casting or an opening date.
