This week, 'LIVE! with Regis and Kelly' welcomes some of today's most popular Broadway entertainers who are known to light up both the stage and screen during their popular 'Broadway Week.' A BEHANDING IN SPOKEANE's Christopher Walken and cast members from AMERICAN IDIOT kicked off 'Broadway Week' yesterday, April 26. Last night, Wednesday April 7, New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, took in a production of HAIR in addition to center stage when he joined the Tribe in the post-show dance party. BroadwayWorld was there for the photo op!

On April 28, 2010, Marriage Equality New York (MENY) proudly presents its 12th Annual Gala at Slate (54 West 21st St. NYC) from 6:30pm-9:30pm. This star studded event will honor B.D. Wong, NYS State Senator Jose Peralta, the members of the advocacy group Queer Rising, and lead counsel in the recent anti-Prop 8 legal battle in California, Shannon Minter of the NationalCenter for Lesbian Rights.

Wednesday, March 31, marked the one year anniversary of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival, of Tony Award-winning production HAIR. BroadwayWorld was on hand at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre to celebrate with the cast post-show.

New York City saw a different side of its typically conservative Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when he donned extensions and hippie garb on stage with Broadway's cast of Hair at the Inner Circle fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Hilton Hotel. Also joining the cast on stage in celebration were Jersey Shore cast members Snooki and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino.

Former 'American Idol' finalist and new 'Hair' tribe member Ace Young tells People.com that he doesn't have any reservations about performing in the classic nude scene of the Broadway hit. Young tells People that the show's nudity is 'so freeing' and adds that he is quite comfortable in his own skin. 'If I could walk down 42nd Street with a bar of soap and let the rain clean me, I would,' he says. 'I'm comfortable with my body.'

Broadway veterans Kevin Kern, Luther Creek, Crystal Joy and Phyre Hawkins have officially joined London's HAIR Tribe, which is set to begin performances at the Gielgud Theatre on April 1st. The join most of the original Broadway cast, which is making the transfer. A new Tribe opened on Broadway in early March.

As the original cast of HAIR flies from New York to London on Sunday to begin rehearsals for the West End production, even London taxi cabs are getting in on the promos for the show's West End bow. BroadwayWorld.com's James Sims snapped a quick shot of one of the cabs that's decked out for HAIR.

Back on March 9, The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: A Tribal Love-Rock Musical welcomed a completely new Tribe on Broadway, led by American Idol alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo, and newcomer Kyle Raibko. Now, new official production shots have been released for the production!

Gavin Creel accepted a Special Recognition Award at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York on March 13 for the cast and producers' support of LGBT equality. The cast and producers actively supported the National Equality March held in Washington D.C. in October of 2009.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway production of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical has partnered with Clear Channel New York to create 'Love Out Loud: A Donation of LOVE from HAIR on Broadway,' a series of fundraising auctions benefitting The Fresh Air Fund.

It was also announced that a completely new ‘Tribe' will debut in the Broadway production on Tuesday evening, March 9th.

The Original Cast of the current Broadway revival of HAIR played their final performance last night on Broadway and we were there! The new Tribe will debut on Tuesday, March 9, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, as the current cast takes the production to the West End, opening April 14 at London's Gilegud Theatre.
