The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History has announced a special performance from the award-winning musical Wicked to mark the donation and display of Elphaba costume at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History today, Dec. 17 at 11:15 a.m. in Flag Hall. The museum is located at 14th Street and Madison Drive.

Tonight, December 17th the National Tour Cast of Wicked will host A WICKED WONDERLAND at the Sheldon Concert Hall. The performance will begin at 7pm with VIP reception to follow. The event will feature the company of WICKED, and net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and STAGES ST. LOUIS.

As producer Marc Platt reported to Entertainment Weekly, 'conversations are now starting' about a movie adaptation of the mega-successful Broadway musical Wicked.

Joining Eden and her band at Dim Mak Studios in Hollywood, CA will be: Tracie Thoms, Ty Taylor, Sarah Mears, Stefanie Sidler and Paul David. Eden brings an innovative and deeply personal interpretation to some modern Broadway hits. Working with her production team, she has endeavored to create a sound that is accessible to both die-hard Broadway fans and pop music listeners alike. I had the chance to catch up with Eden prior to the CD Release Party - here are some excerpts from that interview.

The net proceeds of this event will benefit Washington Marriage Equality.

In its ongoing efforts to combat bullying, the hit Broadway musical WICKED will host a special event tonight, October 11, featuring two leaders in the worldwide campaign to bring an end to bullying: Ben Cohen, MBE, founder of The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation, and Dan Savage, co-founder of The It Gets Better Project. Mr. Cohen and Mr. Savage will be joined by members of the WICKED company for a post-performance talk-back to discuss what can be done to help stop the prevalence of bullying.

Entertainment Weekly editor Jess Cagle will moderate the post-performance anti-bullying talk-back featuring Ben Cohen, MBE, founder of The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation, Dan Savage, co-founder of The It Gets Better Project, and WICKED cast member Kyle Dean Massey on Thursday, October 11 at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre (222 West 51st Street).

Beginning performances on Tuesday, October 16th, ALLI MAUZEY will return to the role of Glinda in the Broadway company of WICKED. Ms. Mauzey played the role of Glinda on Broadway in 2009 and returns to the Gershwin Theatre directly from WICKED'S National Tour.

Grammy Award winner Mika's new album The Origin of Love is set for release October 8, 2012, and includes the track, 'Popular Song.' The tune samples 'Popular' from Broadway's WICKED, originally sung by Kristin Chenoweth. Listen to Mika's song below!

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's WICKED was already hard a work yesterday recording their track for the album. 'A Magical Night On Broadway" is a fully-staged and costumed tribute to the American musical theatre starring stage, film and television personality JoAnne Worley and featuring music from some of Broadway's most celebrated musicals including "Chicago," "Wicked," "Hairspray," "A Chorus Line," "The Lion King" and more. Joining Worley are Bean and Broadway and television star Rex Smith, Tony-nominated actress Jonelle Allen, Terron Brooks and Carol Channing's American Glee Club - a young song and dance group representing America's public schools, along with a few surprise guests. The show is directed by David Green with musical direction by Stephen Smith.
