As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, beginning Tuesday, September 15, West End alumna Rachel Tucker will join the Broadway company of WICKED in the role of Elphaba, alongside Jonah Platt, who will be making his Broadway debut in the role of Fiyero. In honor of the pair joining the New York company, BWW brings you a look back some of their past performances below!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that beginning Tuesday, September 15, West End alumna RACHEL TUCKER will join the Broadway company of WICKED in the role of Elphaba. After nearly three years and over 1,000 performances, Rachel holds the record for most consecutive performances as Elphaba in London's West End production. She made her Broadway debut last season as Meg Dawson in Sting's The Last Ship.

Beginning performances Sunday, July 5th, Wicked will welcome two-time Tony and Emmy Award nominee MICHELE LEE in the role of Madame Morrible. Members of the National Touring Company of WICKED will host "WITCHES' NIGHT OFF," an evening of song at the Hard Rock Cafe Denver on Monday, June 15th at 7:30pm. Net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), Project Angel Heart, Rainbow Alley and Doctors Without Borders. 

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held earlier today, May 27th in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Hosted by HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH's Darren Criss, Broadway's best turned out for the annual performance - including Wicked's Lilli Cooper, who performed 'The Wizard and I'- check it out below!

Inside Broadway's Executive Director Michael Presser has announced that on Thursday, May 7, the Gershwin Theatre (222 West 51st Street) will be visited by thousands of NYC public school students as the theatre arts and education organization presents its popular program Creating the Magic. Featuring the cast and production crew of the hit long-running Broadway musical WICKED, the 80 minute program will be offered at 10:45am and 1:15pm.
