Back by popular demand, the Olivier and Tony Award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted by Simon Stephens from the novel by Mark Haddon, and directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse, Angels in America, Company) will open at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on 20 November before embarking on a UK and Ireland tour.

Casting is set for the Tampa Repertory Theatre and ThinkTank Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, presented at Stageworks Theatre in the Channelside district of Tampa. The Tony Award-winning play by Simon Stephens is adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by TampaRep producing artistic director Emilia Sargent.

Fifteen-year-old Christopher is on a mission. After the untimely death of his neighbor’s dog, the brilliant but unique boy is compelled to investigate the crime. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched, and he distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.

For six performances only, and very limited seating, The Ephrata Performing Arts Center (EPAC) will be offering live performances of their production, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Christopher, the spectacularly intelligent main character in THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, precipitously counts prime numbers to self-soothe. Or he collapses to the floor and moans until the stressful event subsides. THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME follows Christopher on his mission to find the person who stabbed his neighbor's dog with a pitchfork after Christopher's found next to the newly deceased canine and accused of the murder. Based on the novel by Mark Haddon and directed by Robert Tolaro, it's the only play I've experienced that opens with a (don't worry, it's fake) dead dog in the middle of the stage. But Christopher's not only dealing with clearing his name. He's also reeling from his mother's recent death as well as preparing to take A-level maths (the play is set in England) in school.

We all see the world differently, but Christopher John Francis Boone has a very unique perspective. Living on the autism spectrum, life can be tough at times, but being a mathematical genius certainly helps. After finding his neighbor's dog stabbed with a garden fork and being wrongfully accused, Christopher takes it upon himself to solve this dark mystery. But when he uncovers more truths than he bargained for.
