Yesterday, November 25, New York celebrated Thanksgiving with the 85th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade was Broadcast on both NBC and CBS and some of Broadway's biggest shows took center stage to entertain the masses. On November 17, Macy's Herald Square kicked-off the season with a heavenly evening of holiday magic at the annual Christmas window unveiling on Broadway Boulevard. The event featured an appearance by special guest, Whoopi Goldberg, along with the divine cast members of the hit Broadway musical, Sister Act, including Tony Award® nominee, Patina Miller. The hit Broadway musical SISTER ACT recently partnered with God's Love We Deliver by outfitting runners for their 18th annual Race To Deliver on November 20th in Central Park. The cast of SISTER ACT also sang the national anthem and were involved with the official Warm-Up for the four mile run. God's Love We Deliver is the tri-state area's leading provider of nutritious, individually-tailored meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. This winter, from January 2, 2012 through March 4, 2012, SISTER ACT will be performed on the following schedule: Monday at 7pm, Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm. Beginning March 5, 2012, the performance schedule will be as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, Thursday at 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm.

The hit Broadway musical SISTER ACT is partnering with God's Love We Deliver by outfitting runners for their 18th annual Race To Deliver on Sunday, November 20th in Central Park. The first 500 participants to sign up will receive a special nun habit to be worn during the fundraising event. All runners who wear a habit will become eligible for the chance to win SISTER ACT prizes, including free tickets to the show.

SISTER ACT features an original score with music by multi-Academy, Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winning composer Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Enchanted), lyrics by Tony and Academy Award-nominee Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid), and a book by multi-Emmy Award winners Cheri and Bill Steinkellner ('Cheers') with additional book material by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane (Xanadu, The Little Dog Laughed). Directed on Broadway by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Guys and Dolls, A Funny Thing...Forum, Smokey Joe's Café), the production features choreography by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia, Bombay Dreams) and is based on the Touchstone Pictures motion picture Sister Act written by Joseph Howard.

The SISTER ACT School Challenge Initiative is offering the chance for one lucky class from grades 5 through 9 to win a class field trip to SISTER ACT on Broadway. Teachers are invited to share their class' acts of kindness by submitting a photo of their class giving back to their community, along with the story behind it, for the chance to win a class field trip to SISTER ACT. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that SISTER ACT will open at Paris' Theatre Mogador in fall 2012. The theatre is currently the home of the Franch production of MAMMA MIA, but the show will soon embark on a European tour. The show will be translated into French for the new production. Casting has not yet been announced.

The Broadway productions of SISTER ACT and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING have just announced that they will bth host performances that will benefit the Actors Fund this October. SISTER ACT will donate proceeds from its October 2 show, and HOW TO SUCCEED from its October 16 performance.

'Tis the season again. Well, almost. The 2011 edition of the annual Carols for a Cure album is now in the works. Purchase of the album benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The album is produced by Rock-it Science Records. RSR's popular series Broadway's Carols for a Cure is currently in its twelfth year. This highly anticipated annual holiday release features casts from the current Broadway line-up of shows performing new and traditional holiday music. Broadway's Carols for a Cure offers a 'snapshot' of each season, as the casts and orchestras from each show on Broadway perform their own holiday track. Since 1999, Broadway's Carols for a Cure has featured the creative talents of thousands of Broadway's brightest stars and has raised over $3 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
