Stage and screen legend Julie Andrews returns for the fourth time to host the festive annual New Year's celebration with the Vienna Philharmonic, under the direction of Franz Welser-Möst from Vienna's Musikverein. This is Welser-Möst's second time at the podium of this much cherished event; the last was 2011.

Based on the book by Blake Edwards, with score by Henry Mancini and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, Victor/Victoria comes to the Southwark Playhouse until 15th December.

As rehearsals started today, final casting is confirmed for the major London production of the Broadway musical comedy, Victor/Victoria. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award

Uptown Players, a professional theater group located in the Uptown area of Dallas, has announced its 2011 season, which will feature the regional premieres of Young Man From Atlanta, The Temperamentals, and an exciting musical to be named later, as well as the musical comedy Victor/Victoria at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Uptown Players will also present its annual fundraising performance - Broadway Our Way, which will be held in May this year.

The limited run of Zebra Crossing's Asian premiere of hit Broadway musical VICTOR/VICTORIA at the Esplanade Theatre in Singapore will end on November 29, 2009. The show stars international jazz songstress Laura Fygi as Victor/Victoria, and Philippine theatre's favorite leading man Jake Macapagal as King Marchan.
